Abstract

An educational intervention is being carried out during the 2022-02, 2023-01, 2023-02, and 2024-01 semesters with university students in four semester-long courses on the Economics of Education in Unit I: Great Ancient Civilizations, Mesopotamia, of the Bachelor of Education at the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ). A qualitative method with a descriptive and exploratory design is used to analyze the learning experiences of cuneiform writing in the context of Sumerian accounting and its impact on the teaching of the economics of education. Techniques included participant observation, student interviews, and content analysis. Students worked with Linked Open Data (LOD) technology and the ORACC lemmatizer to interpret Sumerian tablets.
