Self-directed learning and emerging digital skills in the professional success of the public accountant.
Abstract
This study analyzes the impact of self-directed learning and emerging digital competencies on the professional success of public accountants in the Huasteca region of Mexico. A validated questionnaire was administered to 623 public accountants using a quantitative, correlational, and explanatory approach. Using multiple linear regression, it was determined that self-learning capacity, self-directed digital knowledge management, and personal initiative positively impact professional success, while technological autonomy showed a moderate negative effect. The results confirm the importance of developing lifelong learning skills and digital competencies to ensure professional sustainability in digital environments.
