Abstract

To understand the perception of a communication model based on Short Message Service (SMS), a technical review was conducted at 80 elementary schools in the municipality of Centro, Tabasco, and a survey was administered to 768 parents. The results show that the majority consider it useful to receive academic and administrative information via SMS, as it facilitates monitoring their children's academic performance. The high acceptance of the model highlights the need for more efficient communication between schools and parents. Implementing tools such as SMS can bridge information and language gaps, strengthen parental involvement, and contribute to improved academic achievement.
