Abstract

This article aims to analyze cultural consumption based on the tourist's museum experience at the Alfeñique Museum in Toluca, based on the elements of museographic experience analysis (MEA): consumption conditions, architecture, threshold, design and aesthetics, and ideology. Desk-based work was conducted, examining scientific production on cultural consumption in relation to the tourist's museum experience. Data were collected through a series of interviews with tourists who visited the Alfeñique Museum in October 2024. Among the findings, it was found that cultural consumption has a greater relevance in the aspect of consumption conditions.
