Abstract

The article examines the role of women artisans in Latin America through qualitative analysis of studies by Web of Science and Scopus. The findings reveal that women's artisanal work has a significant impact on cultural preservation, sustainable economic development, gender equality and conservation of sustainable practices; however, they face challenges such as limited access to resources, lack of recognition, and difficulties balancing work and family. The implications suggest the need for comprehensive public policies that address economic, cultural, and social aspects of women's artisanal work to enhance its contribution to sustainable development and the preservation of Latin American cultural identity.
