University perception of the health of the Raccoon (Procyon Lotor) in relation to the public health of the southern zone of the state of Tamaulipas.
Abstract
The general objective of this research is to establish the university’s perception of the health and public health impacts of the raccoon in the region, with the aim of promoting and preventing these impacts. Bioethics, as a link between different theories of legitimacy, governance, and environmental education, highlights the need to take proactive public health actions correlated with the principle of concurrence. The research methodology involved developing a measurement instrument consisting of 17 questions processed using Excel. Qualitative and quantitative results were analyzed through graphs and tables, and an in-depth interview was conducted with healthcare professionals from the ISSSTE (Institute for Social Security and Services for State Workers) to provide a professional perspective on the impacts experienced in the area.
