Methods and techniques for identifying criminal patterns in the search for missing and unlocated persons in Reynosa, Tamaulipas.
Abstract
There are data collection techniques that help identify and understand crime patterns, which are necessary to understand what happens when people disappear. These techniques help us understand how offenders operate, where people disappear, the places where people can be located, and the areas where relatives search for victims of this criminal phenomenon. This research collected information from relatives who have a missing person. A structural vulnerability assessment tool and a semi-structured interview were applied, which helped us understand how the structure of these spaces relates to search activities, disappearances, and the location of people in the municipality of Reynosa, Tamaulipas.
