Abstract

This study analyzes the barriers to educational inclusion at the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas, focusing on students with disabilities and neurodivergences. It employs a qualitative approach, combining semi-structured interviews with key stakeholders and the production of communication materials with a social responsibility perspective. The results show that the barriers do not stem from the students' conditions, but rather from rigid university practices, pedagogical limitations, a lack of teacher training, and insufficient institutional awareness. The study highlights the need for structural transformations, the implementation of reasonable accommodations, training in inclusive practices, and a university culture based on diversity and human rights. The experience underscores the value of communication and digital media in raising awareness, promoting understanding, and fostering more inclusive educational practices.
