Abstract

This study analyzes inclusive, democratic, and peaceful university coexistence—specifically in its institutional dimension—based on the perceptions of 214 psychology students at a public university. The study employs a descriptive, cross-sectional design with a mixed-methods approach, utilizing the CUI questionnaire. The results reveal that the student body perceives the university’s coexistence as moderately inclusive; while institutional normative advancements are acknowledged, limitations are noted regarding their implementation—particularly within hierarchical structures, student participation, and the application of protocols. A gap is identified between institutional discourse and the actual student experience, underscoring the need to strengthen structural practices and implement effective mechanisms to consolidate a truly inclusive environment.
