Abstract

The present work is the result of a literature review examining how Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)—and, more recently, Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools—have influenced education and educators. Teachers have found themselves compelled to adapt and transform their pedagogical practices in order to effectively engage with these new technologies. This analysis was conducted by drawing upon various academic sources, through which we examined the evolution of technology in education, the relationship between teachers and ICT competencies, the integration of AI into educational systems, as well as teachers' perspectives and attitudes toward this technology, which is steadily gaining ground within the educational landscape.
