Artificial Intelligence in educational contexts: teacher’s perceptions of its usefulness, impact, and ethical concerns.
Abstract
This article presents the results of a study examining teachers' and professionals' perceptions of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in educational settings. An online survey was administered to 49 participants from diverse academic fields (Social Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Education, Natural Sciences, Humanities and Arts, and Health Sciences) and different educational levels (high school, undergraduate, and graduate). The results show that 84% of the participants have used AI tools in educational contexts, but there are significant concerns regarding ethical principles, academic plagiarism, and the reduction of human interaction in education. The study concludes that AI represents a significant opportunity for educational innovation, provided it is implemented within clear regulatory frameworks and accompanied by specific training.
