Abstract

Medicine is a social practice that must guarantee human dignity; therefore, Sexual and Reproductive Rights (SRR) are essential pillars of medical training. Our objective was to validate a questionnaire that assesses medical students' self-perceived knowledge, attitudes, barriers, and sources of information regarding SRR. Thirty-six items were analyzed using expert review by 10 specialists and Aiken's V coefficient, yielding high overall validity (V=0.96). The knowledge and barriers sections showed high levels of consensus, while the attitudes section revealed ethical tensions on issues such as abortion, reflecting persistent paternalistic models. We conclude that the instrument is psychometrically sound for integrating a human rights approach into clinical medical education.
