Corporate social responsibility from a humanistic perspective.
Abstract
Current events demand new ways of understanding social responsibility that go beyond traditional approaches. In this context, the concept of shared social responsibility emerges as a framework that assigns responsibility for sustainable development to the joint interaction of diverse actors, breaking with the isolated business vision and moving towards an integrated vision that articulates the capacities and obligations of society as a whole. The humanistic approach recognizes that social responsibility only acquires real meaning if it is oriented towards respect for human dignity, social justice, the common good, the integral development of the person, and the protection of the ecosystems that sustain life. From this perspective, co-responsibility is a moral imperative.
