Education and Values in Industry 5.0: the role of measurement systems and Six Sigma in environmental sustainability.

Abstract

This article proposes a conceptual model for Industry 5.0 that integrates four key components: measurement system reliability, Six Sigma methodology, environmental sustainability, and human values, with education as a transversal axis. Based on a critical review of theoretical and practical background, it examines how this integration can strengthen academic curricula, support more responsible industrial processes, and guide public policies toward sustainable development. The proposal seeks to move beyond fragmented approaches by placing people and the environment at the center of industrial transformation. It also argues that Industry 5.0 should be understood not only as a technological advancement, but also as an ethical and social commitment required to address contemporary challenges.
