The BIS model as an institutional quality strategy, student perception and terminal efficiency.

Abstract

This article examines the perception of Mechatronics Engineering students regarding the Bilingual, International, and Sustainable (BIS) model at the Technological University of Altamira (UTALT), focusing on how language proficiency impacts terminal efficiency, a key indicator of institutional quality. Through a quantitative study, the relationship between linguistic practice and graduation processes was evaluated. The results highlight a gap in academic immersion and the need for practical resources to strengthen language skills. The most relevant finding indicates that a significant portion of students does not reach the minimum certification level required, which restricts graduation and degree completion, directly affecting institutional performance indicators. Strengthening immersion strategies is therefore essential to meet the quality standards of the BIS model.
