Technology-Mediated Parental Training: a proposed content architecture for developing language stimulation skills.
Abstract
This research is qualitative and exploratory, and the techniques employed included a literature review and semi-structured interviews with parents and experts. Four key findings were identified: numerous educational digital platforms prioritize the distribution of materials while relegating training processes; furthermore, the materials typically lack clear instructions regarding their usage and application, a shortcoming compounded by limited digital literacy. An emergent category identified was that families did not relate to the imagery and characters featured on the platforms examined. In light of these findings, this study presents the content architecture for a prototype of a parental platform designed to foster intervention skills in language development, grounded in an approach that integrates User Experience (UX), User Interface (UI) design, clinical expertise, and teaching methodologies.
