Love as a humanizing educational dimension. An epistemological perspective.

Abstract

In recent decades, there has been debate about education with dehumanized meanings, which are present in a violent and irresponsible coexistence with the world. This essay continues theoretical discussion and aims to reflect on love as a humanizing educational dimension in epistemological terms. It is recognized that love has been widely analyzed from philosophical and transdisciplinary perspectives, highlighting the contributions of Erich Fromm, Humberto Maturana, and Paulo Freire. These intellectuals agree that love is an essential component of humanizing relationships that strengthen ethical coexistence and personal development. It is concluded that a pedagogy of love must be a necessary approach to the current challenges facing societies around the world.
