Abstract

The article addresses natural hazards based on the analysis of the landscape of the territory. Methods such as mapping and zoning, the analysis of scientific literature, the study of maps of various scales, satellite photos and images, GPS data and landscape studies of mountainous areas of the southern Elbrus region have been used. As a result, landscapes have been identified with certain types of land use and natural hazard processes in the Baksan river basin, which will allow adjusting the degree of natural hazard according to the type of land use, and determining recommendations for potential development. safe and sustainable of the territory investigated for each type of landscape.
