Immigration and welfare state. An approximation to the Ecuadorian case.
Abstract
This article seeks to contribute to the debate on immigration and its relationship with the Welfare State (EB) in Ecuador, based on objective milestones. These milestones made it possible to assess more accurately the impact of immigration on the sustainability of public services, social insurance systems and the attitudes of Ecuadorian society vis-à-vis immigrants and, equally, to anticipate the threats, but also the opportunities that can arisein the future.
