Abstract

The objective of this research was to analyze the teaching role in cooperative learning in the 2018 B period at the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico. The methodological approach was qualitative, using the discourse analysis method and the Case Study. An open questionnaire was applied to 53 teachers, finding that the teaching role in cooperative learning is active, as a guide and mediator, and that personal and professional characteristics are required for its implementation. The strategy generates diverse competences and its disadvantages are scarce, concluding that cooperative learning is a structure of actions, values, and skills, in which teachers and students perform particular tasks that allow them to work together, to generate significant learning.
