Abstract

It is important to develop an educational policy that specializes in tourism in all its scales of local, regional or national importance. It is aspired to a tourism education empowered to store the training requirements requested by the business context, delineating general and specific competences that include both the professional profiles and the faculties to be developed in advance for each tourism degree at all levels. The debate is opened on the competences that are currently considered curricular in the training of human resources for the tourism sector.
