Informal commerce and its incidence in the inhabitants of Babahoyo city, Los Ríos Province, Ecuador.
Abstract
This research focuses on conducting a study and subsequent analysis of informal trade and its impact on the inhabitants of Babahoyo city, that they are dedicated to. The informal commerce has presented a great advance with the passing of the years and it is because the country presents a high index of unemployment at present; there are not many opportunities of employment in Ecuadorian territory what causes the people of Babahoyo city focus their attention on the informal trade and/or self-employment, seeing this as an alternative to employment and as a way to generate primary or additional economic income that helps meet the needs of the population in the sector under study.
