Abstract

Jesús Castellanos is a philosophical transition thinker. To understand his thinking, it is necessary to understand the social change that is taking place in Cuba in the 20th century, a Republic mediated by dependency and underdevelopment, for which it insists, as a reflective subject, in a new way of philosophizing, which expresses the philosophy as a philosophical body in a political and social thought; he uses philosophy to think in political and cultural terms. On the basis of literary and essayistic mediations, and thus calls for the need to train active subjects and a critical conscience on a national scale, they will be the guiding thread of a modern man who aspires to progress and to make critical thinking a reality.
