Interactive odontological toy for the effective teaching of oral hygiene in children from 3 to 5 years of initial level.

Abstract

The daily removal of bacterial plaque works as a treatment in active lesions of caries, and although fluoride and dietary advice reduce its progression, the habit of proper and systematic dental cleaning is important. This work is part of the study and development of materials and technologies applicable indentistry with the aim of developing an interactive toy for the teaching of oral hygiene in children of initial level I and II of the Initial Education Center "My Little World". In a sample of 20 infantsa decrease in the bacterial plaque index was achieved.
