Requirements for green restoration and renovation of existing buildings.

Abstract

As the destruction and rehabilitation of buildings can cause high environmental pollution and high energy consumption, ecological restoration and the modernization of buildings can be considered as one of the main approaches to achieve a reduced volume of greenhouse gases and consumption of energy. In addition to reviewing previous studies on the rehabilitation and restoration of green buildings, this study has evaluated the steps of the methods used for the rehabilitation and restoration of green buildings. Consequently, the cost-benefit of the methods and their limitations have been evaluated.
