Budget reduction: the case of Educational Research.
Abstract
In this paper, the relationship between CONACYT financing, scientific production, and the academic offer of postgraduate studies in Mexico in two temporal contexts is studied: the 1980s and 2017. Due to the lack of constant funding for research educational, the motivation for the generation of science in the discipline and the publication of the results is little, and this, at the same time, impacts on the amount of graduate programs that are created and incorporated into the National Postgraduate Program of Quality (PNPC). Finally, everything seems to return to the same point: the discipline fails to take an important role within the structure of CONACYT and the scientific development of the nation.
