Abstract

The present research work allows us to know the quality of the attention received when patients finish their hospitalization period. An instrument was used to collect data based on the quality elements to evaluate nursing care, according to the approach of Dr. Héctor Aguirre Gas. 338 patients in Internal Medicine, Traumatology and Orthopedics services of a Regional General Hospital of the Mexican Institute of Social Securitywere interviewed. 93.5% consider that the opportunity in nursing care is good, mainly in the morning shift; like the nurse-patient relationship. Nursing care in Internal Medicine stand out over those granted in Traumatology and Orthopedics. The information providedto patients and relatives about home care does not cover their needs and expectations.
