A lexicographic approach to the decoding of Polar codes.
Abstract
Modern information communication systems require not only the development of new methods and algorithms for decoding existing redundant codes, but also the creation of new classes of error-correcting codes. This article examines a lexicographic approach (including its modifications) to the decoding of polar codes. Results shows that a comparison of the energy gain between the proposed lexicographical approach to decoding polar codes and the classical decoding schemes have been carried out. The proposed approach showed the best results in terms of correction capabilities in the range of low signal-to-noise ratios.
