Diagnostic study on the need for a management guide for pregnant patients suffering from arterial hypertension who attend the gynecological-obstetric service of the Ambato General Teaching Hospital.
Abstract
The objective of this proposal is to identify the need to develop a practical guide for the treatment and control of arterial hypertension in pregnant women at the Ambato General Teaching Hospital. A methodology with a qualitative and quantitative, descriptive and explanatory approach was used. We worked with the universe made up of 40 pregnant patients who attended the gynecological-obstetric service hospitalized for a period of more than 5 days. The most relevant results of the survey carried out are that 52.50% of pregnant women are unaware of the warning signs of high blood pressure during pregnancy, while 47.50% do.
