Academic procrastination and emotional exhaustion in graduate students in Education.
Abstract
The main objective of the study was to establish the relationship between academic procrastination and emotional exhaustion, differentiating these factors according to the educational program, age and sex. The design was quantitative, cross-sectional and descriptive-correlational. A sample of 71 graduate students from the Virtual University of the State of Guanajuato was obtained. The Academic Procrastination Scale and the Emotional Exhaustion Scale were used. The main findings were low levels of procrastination and intermediate levels of emotional exhaustion. Although no significant differences were found by sex or educational program, an inverse association was observed between age and academic procrastination and its factors, as well as a direct and significant relationship between procrastination and emotional exhaustion.
