Levels of burnout syndrome in professors of an Ecuadorian university.
Abstract
The Burnout syndrome is a serious affectation of the mental and physical health that particularly affects the professionals of the education. Through a correlational and cross-sectional descriptive study, its presence was evaluated in 56 teachers, using the Maslach Burnout Inventory. Being the objective to analyze the level of burnout present in professors of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of UNIANDES University. A statistically significant relationship was detected between the dimensions of the syndrome Emotional tiredness and depersonalization and statistical relationships not significant with seniority in the profession.
