Research project for the teaching of vocabulary in the teaching-learning process of the English language with the students of the first year of high school "D" in the educational unit "Combatientes de Tapi" in the city of Riobamba province of Chimborazo during the school period February - July 2016.

Abstract

This paper presents a research project that deepened the use of vocabulary teaching strategies in English. In it, a qualitative study of exploratory level is proposed with the use of the technique of non-participant observation. This study is of great importance as it contributes to the learning of vocabulary by students in the process of English language teaching, as well as providing teachers with diverse strategies that can contribute to this purpose based on the students’ needs.
