Numerical modeling of Circular Finned Heat Exchangers using Nano-Fluid and investigating the effects of different parameters on Heat Transfer and Pressure Drop.
Abstract
Heat exchangers are almost the most applicable elements in chemical processes. In this study, heat exchangers have been studied numerically using nano-fluid. The effect of different parameters on heat exchange and pressure drop has also been studied and the results showed that the increased space between the tubes and the increase in the number of tubes can increase heat transfer and pressure drop. However, increasing the thickness of the fin may decrease the pressure as a result of increased heat exchange; therefore, it may be the most effective parameter to improve the efficiency of the finned heat exchanger.
