The educational guidance: a guarantee to the continuity of studies and a support t o the new Cuban economic model.
Abstract
The transformations of today's world cause countries to need innovative universities, capable of generating responses to social demands and of promoting sustainable human development. In Cuba, the updating of the economic model requires higher education institutions to adapt their train ing and research programs to make them relevant. This article aims to describe the experience in the conception of an Educational Orientation Center at the University of Sancti Spíritus "José Martí Pérez", which assumes orientation as a key to integral tra ining. The work assesses the theoretical and epistemological gaps found when addressing the issue in the national and international context and offers a proposal that, as a methodological structure, allows intervention in the Cuban context.
