Foreign student motivation for studying at High Medical Schools in Ukraine.
Abstract
Today, Ukrainian high medical schools are in demand among foreing students of very different countries. Consequently, the motives for students’ admission change. The paper presents the results of the research conducted in the 2017-2018 academic year on the basis of medical faculties of National Pirogov Memorial Medical University, Vinnytsya, and Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University. The reasons that made students leave their home countries and study abroad, in particular in Ukraine, as well as the motives for choosing a medical profession, were identified. In addition, the career preferences of the second-year students were determined.
