Framework of reference for the development of the competence of the process of geronto-geriatric nursing care in undergraduate students.
Abstract
It is expected that in the face of demographic and health changes, universities will adopt their educational programs geared to the needs that will arise in the coming decades; both, the group of older adults and chronic diseases; therefore, in this article, a frame of reference for the development of the geronto-geriatric competence in the Bachelor in Nursing through the five stages of Nursing Care Process is proposed; also, the challenges that will be faced at an educational level in the fulfillment of this competence.
