Changing the Grammatical Structure of Phraseological Units as One of the Methods of Transformations of Phraseological Units in the novel Crime and Punishment by F.M. Dostoevsky.
Abstract
The article describes some of the methods of transformation used by the author in the text of the novel: change of the grammatical structure. It analyzes the literary functions of the modified phraseological units and their role in the context. The relevance of the chosen topic is determined by the fact that the writer’s linguistic creative work is manifested in the ability to clarify, concretize the semantics of a phraseological unit, to determine its potential, latent possibilities.
