Current perception of eating habits and nutritional status in children from the “Darío C. Guevara” Educational Unit of the El Salto parish, Babahoyo-Los Ríos.

Abstract

The objective of the work was to identify eating habits and nutritional status in school-age boys and girls from the Darío C Guevara Educational Unit. This study has a descriptive, non-experimental, cross-sectional cohort approach with a correlational scope in which 476 children between 6 and 13 years of age underwent a nutritional assessment. The technique used was the survey, concluding that there are low weight and obese children, and school feeding does not meet the guidelines to ensure optimal nutritional transformation of school children in the province of Los Ríos.
