Local geography and environmental education: An elementary binomial in terms of the sustainable development.
Abstract
The research contributes a set of actions that allow improving the preparation of geography teachers and local actors, by offering materials and tools that favor the appropriation of knowledge of the geographical space and modes of action, which as part of their comprehensive training contribute to the development local from the perspective of sustainable landscape management. With its implementation, the understanding of the geographic content has been guaranteed, revealing the history of its development and its influence on the current physical, economic, social and cultural characteristics, based on sustainable development; This has contributed to strengthening the identity, the sense of belonging of its inhabitants; as well as the relations of the society with the natural environment.
