Diagnosis of the educational axis at the Santo Domingo social rehabilitation center from a holistic approach.
Abstract
The article is aimed to carry out a diagnosis of the educational axis at the Santo Domingo Social Rehabilitation Center (CRS), to assess the effectiveness of prison education from a holistic approach. Thus, a documentary study was carried out from a qualitative perspective. Problems related to prison education were analyzed according to the recommendations for adult learning and education proposed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). It was concluded that the CRS of the Santo Domingo canton does not promote an education in accordance with the canons recommended by the UN, nor with the objectives of a holistic education contemplated in article 27 of the Constitution, hindering the social rehabilitation of the PPL.
