Electronic commerce and technological infrastructure in community pharmacies in the Santo Domingo Canton.
Abstract
Electronic commerce in the pharmaceutical sector reforms and expands markets in people's health and well-being. Currently, it is common for people to manage mobile technological equipment, smartphones, among others, highlighting that these means allow purchases and promote products. This research focuses on analyzing the technological infrastructure for the implementation of e-commerce. Field research was conducted, and results obtained through surveys applied to employees and customers, which yielded positive results for the implementation of electronic commerce, since it meets the purchasing needs of pharmaceutical products. It is also highlighted that other pharmaceutical chains have implemented electronic commerce, with which they have obtained greater productivity and competitiveness.
