Technical and operational study in an association of salt producers in Ecuador, Manta 2020.

Abstract

The artisanal production of salt has become an abandoned trade because the traditional salt pans cannot compete with the large producing industries established in the market. Faced with such problems, the association of salt producers of Manta, Ecuador has developed the proposal for the refined salt production process that will contribute to the achievement of said objective. A technical and operational study is provided that is structured into the components: product characterization, flow chart of the salt obtaining process, geographic location and micro location, and study of the capacities for salt production. It is intended that the association of salt producers establish a business model to enter the local and national market.
