Extra-teaching activities: their importance to sexually educate adolescents with mild intellectual disabilities.
Abstract
This article is related to the importance of extra-educational activities in the teacher's work in Special Education. These contribute to the development of communication, interpersonal relationships, the knowledge of the sexual rights of the disabled, the preparation for a healthy, responsible, happy sexuality and, in general, their integral development. The objective of this article is focused on offering basic guidelines for carrying out these activities in adolescents with mild intellectual disabilities in Special Education. It also shows some examples of extra-educational activities.
