Abstract

The work addresses Heritage Education, which constitutes a problem of great importance in the context of the current Cuban reality to contribute to sustainable development. The foregoing justifies the need for the preparation of the primary school teacher in the mountainous areas of Manicaragua and the development of competencies to facilitate their treatment in the pedagogical process. The proposed model constitutes an alternative that has made possible the elevation of theoretical and methodological knowledge for the treatment of heritage education in the pedagogical process with a consistent attitude towards the protection and sustainable use of the heritage of mountainous areas, as a result of the preparation to the teacher.
