Problem-based learning for the development of clinical reasoning in clinical propaedeutics in medical students.

Abstract

Problem-based learning promotes the optimal development of the ability to make decisions in the work and social environment, and in the case of Medicine, it contributes to reaching the capacity of clinical reasoning. The objective of the research is to analyze the way in which clinical reasoning is developed in the students of the Clinical Propedeutics Learning Unit through Problem-Based Learning in the 2019-2020 school year. The methodological approach is quantitative, correlational and descriptive. An instrument for measuring knowledge prior to the intervention with pre-test ABP was applied; that is, an examination of previous general knowledge with an approach oriented to clinical reasoning and a post test.
