Abstract

In this article, a theoretical foundation of the concept of social skills will be made, emphasizing the importance of carrying out actions to strengthen them, especially in the stage of adolescence. It will be taken into consideration that although social skills are not directly part of the school curriculum, it is essential to deepen their learning and development in the school environment. They are psychosocial resources that help people to interact and communicate with each other, developing skills or resources, such as: assertiveness, self-esteem, emotional intelligence, among others. Taking these aspects into consideration, a proposal is made for a Training Program to strengthen social skills in this age group.
