Abstract

The objective of this work is to determine the degree of compliance with the right of children and adolescents to be heard and informed in the processes of possession in the Santo Domingo canton during the year 2020. The research was carried out using a quantitative-qualitative methodology, seeking to obtain the desired results, the analytical-synthetic method and the inductive method were used, as well as surveys and interviews, allowing important criteria of legal professionals to be known. It is concluded that despite the fact that the judges have the obligation to directly apply international human rights instruments, they are not acting in accordance with the regulations, for which they are not guaranteeing the right of children and adolescents to be heard and informed.
