Technological innovation in university environments. Advantages and limitations during the COVID 19 pandemic.
Abstract
The objective of this essay is to analyze the advantages and limitations of the use of technologies in the educational context of higher-level students in Mexico during the COVID 19 pandemic. Three sections were addressed: technological innovations over time, studies about the use of technologies in academic environments, and different limitations that increase the digital divide. It was concluded that the new technologies that have been put into practice in an emerging way are a reality in the academic field that will require the adaptation of university institutions, as well as the student community; therefore, it is necessary to develop new educational strategies for their permanent incorporation.
