Abstract

Obesity is a global health crisis and in Mexico; Obesity rates have increased, seriously affecting public health. The imbalance between calories consumed and burned is the main factor in weight gain. For this problem, the commercialization of dehydrated maguey red worm (Chinicuil) is proposed as a nutritional alternative. This quantitative, descriptive, non-experimental research concludes that the commercialization of Chinicuil is feasible, economically benefiting Hidalgo families and promoting healthy eating.
