Impact of higher education on ethical and professional development: the perspective of university students.
Abstract
The study analyzed the impact of university educational programs on the ethical and professional training of students using a qualitative approach with phenomenological methodology. Fourteen students and graduates from a public university in Sonora participated, sharing their experiences using the written composition technique as an analysis tool. The results showed that the programs contribute to the development of professional ethics, critical reflection, and social commitment. However, it was observed that ethical training at advanced levels is treated superficially. The participants highlighted the importance of integrating ethical values with technical skills to face professional and social challenges responsibly.
